You will join the amazing Web Development instruction team at Bitmaker in its full-time programs. Students join Bitmaker programs to augment and add skills, with the purpose of improving their existing career or starting into an entirely new Web Development career. Through the combination of immersive education and career support, over 90% of Bitmaker’s full-time students start new careers through the program.
At Bitmaker, instructors:
- Provide mentorship to students
- Contribute to our curriculum improvement process
- Deliver great lessons and workshops
Various commitments are available to instructors. Please indicate in your application which of these commitments best fits your schedule:
Deliver interactive, engaging lectures in the full-time class. This session runs from 10am to noon every weekday in the 9-week immersive program.
Afternoon availability Work closely with the students with personalized feedback and assistance. Afternoon sessions run from 2pm to 6pm every weekday int he 9-week immersive program.
Deliver compelling lessons and conduct learning exercises in the part-time UX program. Teach engaging workshops to prospective students. Provide 1-on-1 instruction to students through office hours for the full-time or part-time programs.
Our Web Development course is a life-changing educational experience where students leave with the skills and mindsets to take on new careers as web developers. We are looking for an an assistant instructor to help guide students in our afternoon assignments. Hone your own coding skills by working with students and our instructional team.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Assist students during afternoon assignments and deliver compelling lectures.
Work closely with co-instructors to provide students with meaningful and prompt feedback on their progress.
Work alongside the Bitmaker staff and teaching team to best meet the needs and learning styles of your students.
Guide students through development of a final project that will showcase their abilities to hiring managers.
Facilitate a dynamic and collaborative classroom community.
Inspire students to persevere through the challenges of turning their ideas into actual web application.
You have at least 2+ years of professional development experience.
Nice to have: You have some previous teaching or mentoring experience.
