Data is now an integral part of every business
To be successful in today's business landscape, all companies need to learn how to leverage data to make critical business decisions. Knowing how to "speak data" means more than having the skills to navigate spreadsheets or query databases – it means learning the framework and gaining the mindset to solve problems with data.
Take your Excel skills to the next level by preparing, exploring and cleaning data
Use SQL to write efficient queries and create your own databases
Communicate your insights with powerful stories via Tableau
What you will learn
Learn a powerful framework to understand data, from exploring and managing data sets to performing analysis and communicating insights. Following the data, rather than hunches, enables individuals and companies to make better decisions. You'll go hands-on with everything from spreadsheet modeling to visualization tools and build a final all-inclusive project with your new skills.
Approaching data the right way
If you approach a problem with a solution in mind already, you'll convince yourself it's right and ignore other possibilities. Avoid this and other common pitfalls by adopting a rigorous analytical workflow.
Exploring data for insights
Your business collects a lot of data, but how do you navigate and understand it? Learn how to explore data in Excel and identify the right questions to ask.
Managing data in SQL
Some of the most valuable insights can come from seeing data update in real-time. Learn how to interact with databases and query them for valuable information.
Sharing your insights
Walking through your analysis step-by-step may not be the best way to share a critical finding. Learn how to visualize and present the outcomes of your analysis to stakeholders.
